I had the great good fortune to work with Dave while he was with Canoe, an ISP in Canada, and I was with Oberon Media, an online casual games aggregator in New York City. Dave was in search of a games provider with product that would encourage Canoe subscribers to spend more time on its site and to purchase games, thereby creating new streams of revenues for Canoe through advertising and product sales.
Too often buyers-and-sellers have their own agendas in putting a deal like this together. While Dave did indeed have his responsibilities his approach was no-nonsense, fair and honest, and much more responsive than the norm at the time.
He is also quite adept at finding the common ground to create promotions around a fun-‘n-games product offering which resulted in a great deal of mutual success for our companies, and satisfaction among Canoe subscribers. You’ve heard of win-win-win? Well, in this case that was ALL true.
